The term “multiple listing” and the concept behind it was coined in 1907. Then it described the practice of real estate agents gathering to trade info about properties they were trying to sell, hoping this networking would connect them with buyers. This system caught on and evolved into the modern online entry and search approach we use today. IVR celebrates past versions of the IVR MLS by maintaining home listing books from the early 1970s and keeping an eye on the future by ensuring the MLS stays at the forefront of technology. The Multiple Listing Service grants members a wealth of data to pass along to their clients, ensuring it is a tool to assist REALTORS® in your real estate purchase.
